the seed I've received, I will sow
Sooo, I just came back from a mission trip to Baguio, Philippines just 2 days ago! I have to say, I'm really glad I decided to- and managed to- go for the trip. At first when I found out that I didn't get through PGA I was thankful that I could make it for the trip, but more than the gratefulness was the resentment that I had lost an opportunity. What I've realised is that when God closes a door, He really does open another. I am so glad I didn't miss out on this trip, it was really heartwarming to see us planting seeds of change in the lives of all those youths, and I really do pray that these seeds will continue to grow.
The people are just so..happy, despite their situation, and it really makes me feel so undeserving. To think that we are here complaining about trivial problems, like having to do schoolwork, while over there just being able to go to school is a privilege in itself. As one of the YFC (youth for christ) staff said to me, we are just so blessed. And she pleaded that even as we return home, we would continue to keep these families in prayer.
I wish we could go back. I really miss everyone there, and everyone in the team too. I think many people thought it was pretty ridiculous, cos it was a sec 4 mission trip, but there were only 5 sec 4s, and the rest of the team were leaders. But I'm really grateful we went ahead with the plans, it was a..life-changing experience. We went there expecting to bless the people, but we were blessed by them instead.
To our team: Estrella, Louis, Jon, Meiping, Victor, Eddy, Sam, Janice, Sonia, Irwin, Joyce, Lucas, thank you for all the memories and support throughout the trip. It wouldn't have been the same without every single one of you! (I MISS ALL OF YOU ALREADY)
To SUSHi (the sec 4 batch) : We could feel your support with us all the way, even if you weren't physically with us! Thank you :D
To the Philippines team: Thank you for your hospitality and hard work! The trip was only a success because of all your contributions. Miss you guys! (ADD US ON FACEBOOK)
God bless ♥

I am trying to stay realistically optimistic.
I believe a little faith, trust and pixie dust can solve many problems.
